Okay, well I’m back at it again. I know it’s been a while but I haven’t been that inspired to write about anything lately. Usually I try to write about things that are on my mind and today is no different.
I was having a conversation with a friend of mine the other day and we were debating the pros and cons of marijuana. It has been quite some time since I have kissed Mary so my argument started out more on the con side but as we continued our discussion, my stance was swayed. My friend’s main argument was the idea that Marijuana is less harmful than alcohol. Being the happy consumer of alcoholic beverages that I am I had to defend my friends Mr. Hennessey, Brother Goose, and Don Julio. After putting up my best fight for my friends, I saw the light. Here are a few things to ponder……
1) After smoking for hours on end, are you sick?
2) When high (on marijuana), does one go into fits of rage?
3) Does one wake up with a pounding headache the next day?
4) Do you make a call to Uncle Url after hanging with Mary?
5) Will kissing Mary cause your liver to fail?
6) Can you make clothes and other serviceable items from alcoholic beverages?
7) When high, doesn’t one think better (or at least believe they do)?
8) Marijuana doesn’t cause frequent trips to the restroom while partaking.
9) Does weed make marriages fail? (you never hear of a dude going home and beating his wife because he smoked too much)
10) Name a song about alcohol that is better than Rick James’s “Mary Jane”. You can’t!
Honorable Mention: Can alcoholic beverages be used for medicinal purposes?
I could go on and on but I think you get my point. I am in no way condoning the use of Marijuana as it is still considered an illegal drug. I am however suggesting that it may not be as bad as the government and OUR EMPLOYERS make it seem. In the mean time, I can get inebriated every night and not fail a piss test so I guess that is one great advantage of being a drunk.

Umm...however it does make people lazy because it is a depressant to the system... The point is...the gov't really doesn't care about the health risks...they care about money. People can grow this so the gov't wouldn't really make $$$ on it if they legalized it...but they can make $$ if you are caught with it and have to tangle with the judicial system because it is illegal. So...like Chris Rock said...the gov't wants you to be addicted to their drugs...not the ones you can get from Pookie down the street. I will say this...no one I know that smokes weed on the regular has progressed from where they were years ago. Trust me when I say I have quite a few guys I know for point of reference. So to that I say...let 'em smoke...they ain't hurting me...
